Terms of service

Effective 12 October 2026

These terms cover use of recruiting.law. By signing up or signing in, you agree to them on behalf of yourself and the organization whose account you use. If your organization has signed a separate agreement with us, that agreement takes priority where the two differ.

The service

recruiting.law gives legal recruiters a research database of lawyers and law firms built from public sources, and a private workspace for their own candidates, clients and activity. We may add, change or retire features. If we remove something your organization relies on, we will give reasonable notice.

Accounts

Each user needs their own account. Keep your password private and tell us at admin@recruiting.law if you think someone else has used it. Your organization's admins choose who joins and what each person can do, and they are responsible for the people they let in.

Your organization's data

Your organization owns the data it puts into its workspace. You give us permission to store and process it only to provide the service to you. You can export it at any time, and when you leave we delete it as described in the privacy policy. You are responsible for having the right to hold the data you upload, including any consent the people in it are owed.

Acceptable use

We may suspend an account that breaks these rules. Unless the problem is urgent, we will tell you first.

About the research data

The research data comes from firm websites, court dockets, SEC filings and similar public records, and it can be incomplete or out of date. Record checks show where a claim does or does not match a public document. They are a sourcing aid, not a finding about any person, and decisions about candidates are yours to make. Do not use the service as the basis for any decision covered by the Fair Credit Reporting Act.

Fees

Fees, if any, are set out in your organization's order or invoice. We will give at least 30 days' notice of a price change, and it will apply from your next billing period.

Ending use

You can stop using the service at any time. We can end the service for your organization with 30 days' notice, or sooner if you seriously breach these terms. Either way, you will have at least 30 days to export your data.

Warranties and liability

We work to keep the service available, accurate and secure, but it is provided as it is, without warranties of any kind beyond those the law requires. To the extent the law allows, neither side is liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees your organization paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.

General

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, and disputes go to the state or federal courts in Georgia. If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will update the date at the top and email customers before the change takes effect. Questions go to admin@recruiting.law.
